Women morph into doormats
encouraged to put others before themselves.
“If everyone did that, then the world would be a better place.”
A world filled with love and compassion, yes
where people are happy to serve others —
but guarding against being used and abused.
Depression waves its red flag for all
who bother to see, yelling:
“Stand up for yourself!” You have a right
to be respected as a human being with your own needs;
When you’re strong, healthy and (yes!) happy,
you bring light and love to the world in need.
