As I advance further
into geezerhood,
I pity the pennies I find
lost on the ground.
Yea verily,
they’re inanimate objects
of the least financial worth,
but they should still serve
their purpose.
I find myself
bowing into a holy
Forward Fold
at the sight of
the little copper head of Abe.
